New City of Savannah Grant Center Gym breaks ground

Greenline has been working with the City of Savannah Government on the design of the new Grant Center Gymnasium and the progress continued with December 14th's official groundbreaking ceremony. Representing the City were several officials, including Mayor Van Johnson, District 1 Alderwoman Bernetta Lanier, City Manager Jay Melder and City Project Manager Dan Reel.

Led by Greenline’s Bob Poticny, Principal-in-Charge, and Eric O’Neill, Project Manager, the Grant Center will be approximately 10,000 square feet and include a gym with a full-sized basketball court, locker room, and fitness and weight rooms. It is the only city-owned regulation-size gymnasium on the west side of Savannah. The Moses Jackson Community Center will connect to the new gym by sidewalks and a covered walkway. The project’s general contractor is Dabbs Williams.
